MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam are considering the possibility to cooperate in energy industry, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Vietnam.
The matter was discussed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Goshin visited facilities of the Hoa Binh hydroelectric dam. The dam was constructed with participation of Soviet specialists and is now one of the largest power plants not only in Vietnam, but also in all Southeast Asia.
The Belarusian ambassador held talks with the First Deputy Director General of the dam Pham Van Vuong. They exchanged opinions on promising areas of bilateral cooperation in energy industry and discussed the possibility to supply Belarusian electrical equipment within the framework of the scheduled modernization of this dam.
