MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – Belarus supplies to Uzbekistan a wide range of products – a total of more than 300 goods, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Uzbekistan.

The embassy unveiled the data about the Belarus-Uzbekistan trade in January-October 2020. The trade amounted to $195 million (up by 2.2% year-on-year). Belarus’ export equaled $160.7 million (up by 7.1%) and import of Uzbekistan’s products came at $34.3 million (84.3% of the import in the same period of last year).

In January-October 2020, Belarus increased beef supplies to Uzbekistan to $34 million (up  2.3 times over the same period of last year). Poultry shipments went up by a third ($3.4 million). Belarus also boosted export of milk powder, sugar, chocolate, medicines, X-ray equipment, and vaccines.

Belarus’ major imports from Uzbekistan include cotton yarn, knitwear, and fresh vegetables. This year, Belarus started importing more melons, watermelons, nuts, apricots, and cherries from Uzbekistan.
