MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Finance of the United Arab Emirates have signed a memorandum of understanding that provides for cooperation in financial matters, BelTA learned from the website of the Finance Ministry.
The document was signed by Belarus’ Finance Minister Maksim Yermolovich and Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Finance Younis Al Khouri.
The memorandum of understanding is designed to improve and intensify cooperation between the two ministries and to create the groundwork for collaboration in the field of budgeting, tax administration and financial policy, and for the exchange of best practices with international finance organizations.
Belarus would like to expand cooperation with the UAE in creating financial market infrastructure that provides for a broad use of digital technology, formation of the legal framework regulating the work of the securities market and the insurance sector, as well as financial risk management and efficient monitoring.
