MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) – Belarus will take part in UzFood 2022, the International Exhibition on Food, Ingredients and Food Technologies, due in Tashkent on 29-31 March, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).
UzFood will run the following expositions; Meat and poultry, Dairy products, Confectionery, Groceries, Drinks, Food ingredients, Equipment for the food industry, Bakery, Packaging and HoReCa.
UzFood has prepared a packed business program. A Retail Center event on 30 March will bring together food producers and buyers, retailers and distributors. Representatives of the largest retail chains are invited to the event.
"B2B negotiations, seminars, conferences and master classes will provide an additional opportunity to find business partners. A professional tasting contest ‘Master of Quality’ will be held in the run-up to the exhibition, on 28 March. An expert panel will evaluate food and beverages presented for tasting. The best entries will be awarded a gold medal and will be entitled to picture it on the packaging of the goods. They will also be honored with diplomas and mention on the official website of UzFood," the exhibition company said.
Companies from 10 more countries confirmed their participation in UzFood: Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, China, UAE, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and France, Belinterexpo informed.
The exhibition in 2021 featured 122 companies from 21 countries and drew more than 4,000 specialists from Tashkent, 13 regions of Uzbekistan and 12 countries: Belarus, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, UAE, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.
"Exhibition events in Uzbekistan are highly effective for Belarusian exporters. Last year companies from Belarus concluded export agreements worth $13.8 million at the UzProdExpo/UzAgroExpo and worth of $13 million at the ‘INNOPROM. Big Industrial Week in Uzbekistan’,” Belinterexpo emphasized.
The UzFood exhibition is held with the official support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, Uzbekozikovkatzaxira Association of Companies,
Agency for Regulation of the Alcohol And Tobacco Market and Wine Development, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
