MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – Five Belarusian companies will take part in Damascus International Fair with the collective Made in Belarus booth on 17-26 August, BelTA learned from the exhibition company Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
These will be the Belarusian truck-making company BelAZ, Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark), Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark), Mogilevliftmash and also OAO Olsa, a producer of furniture for medical purposes and home furniture.
Founded in 1954, Damascus International Fair is one of the oldest expos in the Middle East region. However, for the last six years the exhibition was not held due to security reasons. This year's edition of Damascus International Fair will last 10 days and will bring together more than 2,000 delegations from all over the world. The participants will present equipment, machinery, building materials, consumer goods, and food. Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer al-Khalil said that the country hopes to conclude contracts for the supply of modern equipment during this fair.
The Belarusian collective exposition at Damascus International Fair has been co-sponsored by Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
