ST PETERSBURG, 18 July (BelTA) – The biggest distributor of Belarusian petrochemical products in Russia Belneftekhim-ROS has signed five contracts to supply petrochemical products to Russia. These contracts are estimated at RUB5 billion. They were signed at an extended session of the national business councils on the sidelines of the 6th Forum of Regions of Belarus land Russia, BelTA has learned.
Belneftekhim-ROS Director General Denis Tumash told reporters that about 30 contracts to supply Belarusian petrochemical products to Russia are to be signed during the forum. Five contracts worth about RUB5 billion were signed during the extended session of the national business councils. “Over three days the parties are to sign contracts worth about a total of RUB7.5 billion,” he informed.
These petrochemical products include automobile tires, high pressure polyethylene, polyamide, phthalic anhydride, alkyd resins, polyester textile yarns, as well as anti-icing agents. “In fact, all enterprises that are part of Belneftekhim Concern are represented in the supply contracts,” Denis Tumash said.
He stressed that Belarusian petrochemical products are competitive in the Russian market. The upgrade of Belarusian petrochemical facilities holds a lot of promise. "The modernization of key facilities continues. This will result in new products, properties and quality," the company head said.
