MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Belarus plans to supply agricultural machinery, seeds and foodstuffs to Equatorial Guinea, BelTA learned from the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
“A memorandum was signed during the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Equatorial Guinea. The working group on agriculture reached agreements on the supply of agricultural machinery and food products, corn seeds, potatoes and other crops, as well as on the implementation of joint projects in poultry farming and vegetable growing. Belarus also offered its crop protection products,” the Agriculture and Food Ministry informed.
According to the press service, several parcels of land were examined in order to determine what kind of equipment and fertilizers Equatorial Guinea needs.
In addition, the two countries will establish cooperation in the fishing industry (supplies from Belarus and fish processing). Belarus’ agricultural universities will train Equatorial Guinea specialists in such fields as mechanization, processing and fisheries.
