MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarus will share its best practices in developing modern agro-industrial manufacturing with Cuba, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA commenting on the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of Cuba Alexander Aleksandrov with Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Cuba Gustavo Rodriguez Rollero on 5 November.
The parties discussed prospects of cooperation between Belarus and Cuba in the agricultural sphere. “Gustavo Rodriguez Rollero confirmed interest in developing modern agro-industrial facilities in Cuba taking into account Belarus' experience in the area and possible attraction of targeted credit resources,” the press service informed.
The Ambassador of Belarus emphasized the importance to continue the work in the outlined areas and stressed that Belarus is ready to provide assistance to Cuba and share its experience in developing modern agricultural manufacturing.
“The parties agreed to intensify bilateral cooperation taking into consideration Cuba’s priorities in economic development.
Special attention was attached to the issues of supplies of Belarus’ MTZ tractors and component parts. The parties also discussed Cuba’s possible purchases of Belarus’ MAZ machinery.
