MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – Belarus intends to sell more beef to China, BelTA learned from representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in China after Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats held a series of negotiations in Beijing.
Leonid Zayats met with top executives of the China Meat Association (CMA), Great Silk Road Company, and Chengdu Haiyunda Company. The sides discussed the current state of affairs on the Chinese beef market, an increase in deliveries of Belarusian products, and the implementation of investment projects by Chinese partners in Belarus.
Besides, Leonid Zayats met with top executives of CITIC Group and its daughter enterprises specializing in agriculture and finance. The implementation of important bilateral projects was discussed as well as plans concerning investment and trade cooperation between Belarus and CITIC Group in agriculture.
Leonid Zayats also met with Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China Ni Yuefeng. The sides discussed cooperation in veterinary science and the access of Belarusian agricultural products to the Chinese market.
