MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) - Belarus will offer the R&D solutions in the field of water and air purification to Pakistan, Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus Alexander Shumilin told BelTA. He is taking part in the Belarusian-Pakistani business forum.
"Pakistan is a country with a hot climate. Such solutions will be in demand there," said Alexander Shumilin.
In addition, Pakistan may be interested in another development of Belarusian scientists, namely edible food film. According to Alexander Shumilin, it is made from starch and thanks to the use of dyes can acquire any color. It is eco-friendly as it decays quite quickly and does not harm the environment. "The first batch of this film has already been sent to China. Belarus is also starting using it. This film might be of interest to Pakistan,” said Alexander Shumilin.
Belarusian scientists are also willing to show the developments in medicine and agricultural machinery to Pakistani partners.
Some 150 science and technology innovations in machine building, healthcare, pharmaceutics, petrochemistry, new materials, environmental science, environmental management, food industry, and space technologies are presented at the expo organized as part of the Belarus-Pakistan business forum on 11 August.
National exhibits presented through full-scale samples, with the use of tablets, multimedia presentations and promotional materials are on display on the collective stand of the State Committee for Science and Technology.
