MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) – Belarus intends to use loans of the International Monetary Fund to fix problems of the balance of payments, BelTA learned from Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus Pavel Kallaur on 4 August.
The NBRB head specified: “I am talking about the Extended Fund Facility created by the International Monetary Fund to resolve long-term problems concerning the balance of payments. The mechanism provides for relevant macroeconomic changes meant to stabilize the balance of payments of a country.”
