BAKU, 21 May (BelTA-Trend) – Belarus is ready to develop cooperation in agriculture with Azerbaijan, Belarus’ Vice Premier Vladimir Semashko said at the opening ceremony of the 9th edition of Azerbaijan’s international exhibition Agriculture and the 21st edition of Azerbaijan’s international exhibition Food Industry, BelTA has learned.
“We are ready to share our knowledge and achievements in the application of biopesticides and biological substances to protect plants from diseases as well as familiarize our Azerbaijani counterparts with biological products for soil recultivation and cleanup,” he said.
According to Vladimir Semashko, Belarus’ stand showcased in Baku speaks to the fact that the agricultural sector is important in the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus. “The Belarusian exhibition booth features products of more than 60 domestic agricultural companies,” he said.
The Vice Premier also stated that Belarus is sincerely glad to see Azerbaijan’s achievements and successes in agriculture and expressed hope that the country’s agrarian sector will continue its development.
