Belarus to attend session of Parliamentary Conference on WTO
MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Chairman of the Standing Commission for International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus
Valery Voronetsky is expected to attend the
annual session of the Parliamentary Conference the World Trade Organization in Geneva on 6-7 December. The focus will be on the WTO development prospects through 2030, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
The participants of the conference will discuss the role of MPs in strengthening free and fair trade in general and within the WTO in particular. The conference will also be used to consider issues related to the development of new technology, digitization, the trade policy upgrade based on innovative technology.
As has been reported earlier, Belarus expects to complete talks on the WTO accession by the end of 2019.
