MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – Belarus has presented its exposition at SIAL CHINA 2018, Asia's Largest Food Innovation Exhibition, that is taking place in Shanghai on 16-18 May, BelTA learned from the BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
A collective exposition of Belarusian companies features 28 manufacturers of meat, dairy, confectionery, bakery products and alcoholic beverages.
Dairy products are presented by the companies Babushkina Krynka, Milkavita, Minsk Dairy Company No.1, Slutsk Cheese Making Factory, Smorgon Dairy Products company, Luninets Dairy Company, Belovezhskiye Syry, Molodechno Dairy Company and Beryoza Cheese Making Factory. Meat delicacies from pork and beef are showcased by Mogilev Meat Processing Plant. Taking part in the expo are Belarus’ biggest milling companies, like Lidakhleboproduct and Smorgon Plant of Bread Production. Potato chips are offered by Belproduct.
The Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom is represented by a broad range of companies, including Kommunarka, Spartak, Slodych, Mozyrsol. The Krinitsa brewery demonstrates a lineup of wheat and barley beer that was awarded prestigious international awards. Other domestic alcoholic beverage producers include Minsk Kristall, Brest Distillery Belalko, and Minsk Sparkling Wines Factory. Mankovichi Distillery of the Brestmyasomolprom concern has brought nastoikas (infusions) made to traditional Belarusian recipes.
The Belarusian exposition was toured by Consul General of Belarus to Shanghai Valery Matsel and Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Igor Brylo.
Belarus’ exposition has been arranged by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the BelInterExpo enterprise of the BCCI. It was co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Food Ministry, National Academy of Sciences, Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom, regional authorities, and Minsk City Executive Committee. The event is held with support of Belarus’ Embassy in China and Belarus’ Consulate General in Shanghai.
Taking part in SIAL China this year are 3,400 companies from 70 countries, including Australia, Brazil, Germany, India, Italy, Russia, United States, France, and South Korea. Over 110,000 people are expected to visit the expo.
