MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – Belarus is taking part in the international tourism forum “A new stage of cooperation between the CIS member states in the field of tourism” that is taking place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on 7-8 September, BelTA learned from the National Tourism Agency.
The forum has brought together tourism industry professionals from the CIS countries: heads of tourism administrations, entrepreneurs and experts in the tourism industry.
Belarus is represented by the Tourism Department of the Sports and Tourism Ministry. The Belarusian delegation is taking part in the session “Digitalization of tourism services in the CIS space”. Belarus’ representatives will make a presentation themed “On the digital transformation of the tourism sector in the Republic of Belarus”.
The forum is aimed at building international partnerships in the field of tourism in the CIS space. This event will be a great opportunity for domestic and foreign travel agencies to compare notes and thrash out plans. The participating countries will exchange expertise and knowledge in various areas of tourism.
The international tourism forum is held by the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the CIS Executive Committee in the run-up to World Tourism Day that is marked on 27 September.
