MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation led by Chairman of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov is taking part in the tenth congress of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), the press service of the State Control Committee of Belarus told BelTA.
The congress is scheduled to take place in Istanbul, Turkey on 22-24 May. Seminars will be held for heads of the supreme financial audit agencies while working sessions will be arranged for delegates. The 46th session of the EUROSAI Governing Board will take place.
The delegates representing supreme auditing agencies of over 40 countries are discussing problems involved in applying and improving international standards in the work of the supreme auditing agencies. Participants of the forum are expected to discuss topical matters such as responding to emerging problems, control over money to be spent on migration and humanitarian purposes, ways to improve the quality of state administration through performance auditing. Close attention will be paid to matters relating to IT auditing, information security, certification of government financial reports, and the availability of audit results to the general public. A EUROSAI strategic plan for 2017-2023 will be adopted during the forum.
Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus Leonid Anfimov is expected to deliver a report on the role of supreme financial audit agencies in reaching the UN-declared sustainable development goals. Leonid Anfimov is also expected to meet with heads of financial audit agencies of a number of foreign countries.
