MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarusian builders have signed a contract with a Russian company for the construction of a training ground in Kaluga. The construction and installation works will be carried out by Building Trust No.3 of the Order of the October Revolution, BelTA learned from Yevgenia Filimonova, the spokesperson of the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry.
The Belarusian specialists will build an administrative building, a football field, utility buildings, water supply and drainage system, heating system, and power facilities. They will also perform landscaping works.
The construction works will start when the general contractor hands over the site to the Belarusian building company. The contract indicates that the works are scheduled to be completed by 31 August 2017. The training ground is to be commissioned by the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The contract provides for the export of Belarusian construction services to the tune of some $2 million.
“This is not the only construction project conducted with the participation of Belarusian specialists in the run-up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The Gomel house building company started building a stadium in Kaluga in March 2017. The facility will be used for practice events. The stadium has a football field, an administrative building, stands for 500 people and a utilities area with a boiler house,” Yevgenia Filimonova said.
