MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Ways of expanding cooperation in agriculture between Belarus and Türkiye were discussed during a meeting between Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Anatoly Linevich and Turkish Ambassador to Belarus Güçlü Cem Işık, BelTA learned from the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The parties expressed their respect for the diplomatic relations between the two countries, expressed their intention to expand cooperation and develop intersectoral and inter-state ties. "The heads of our states have set the tasks to increase trade between the countries. We have something to offer Türkiye. I am sure that personal friendly contacts and understanding of the fundamental points makes it easier to find a solution to many issues," Anatoly Linevich said.
In turn, Ambassador Güçlü Cem Işık expressed a high opinion of the milk processing plant that he recently visited and made a proposal to organize working trips to other Belarusian milk and meat factories. "After touring this enterprise, we have a clear understanding of what we would like to learn from Belarus and in what areas we would like to develop cooperation," he said.
The parties scheduled a number of events and discussed cooperation between the agricultural industries of both countries.
