MINSK, 10 November (BelTA) – The supply of Belarus-made equipment was discussed at the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Syria Yuri Sluka with Syria’s Public Works and Housing Minister Suhail Mohammad Abdullatif and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Bassam Touma, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“During the meeting the parties discussed ways to ramp up Belarus-Syria cooperation in areas of mutual interest. This includes the supply of Belarus-made machinery to meet the needs of the Syrian ministries,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
In June, Belarus provided humanitarian aid to Syria. A batch of MAZ trucks and construction equipment was sent to Syria to be used in rebuilding industrial and civilian infrastructure in the most affected areas of Syria.
