MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – Belarus has not abandoned plans to float eurobonds in 2020, BelTA learned from Belarusian Finance Minister Maksim Yermolovich on 16 April.
The official noted that Belarus still intends to raise investments from international borrowings market. “Let’s see how the situation will unfold. The markets have not been closed. Opportunities for our floatation are still open. We don’t change plans to float eurobonds, to borrow RUB30 billion on the Russian financial market,” Maksim Yermolovich said.
The official explained that decisions will be made depending on what resources Belarus will be able to receive from international financial organizations to satisfy the need to refinance the state debt within this year’s state budget. “We may scrap some plans to borrow money,” Maksim Yermolovich said.
