MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Cement Company has entered a new market for its concrete products. Smorgonsilikatobeton, a branch of Krasnoselskstroymaterialy has started shipping autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks to Romania, BelTA learned from the website of Belarusian Cement Company.
In total, 5,550 cubic meters of blocks were delivered to the Romanian market in April-June.
According to the holding company, in H1 2021 Smorgonsilikatobeton sold more than 116,000 cubic meters of AAC blocks, of them 52,000 cubic meters of products were sold abroad. Some 4.5 million pieces of silicate bricks were shipped abroad, which accounts for over 43% of its total output. Now almost all products are slated for export, the company informed. For example, in June foreign orders accounted for 80% of the total production volume.
In January-June 2021 the net profit of Smorgonsilikatobeton amounted to Br284,000, and the return on sales stood at 6.5%.
Smorgonsilikatobeton is one of Belarus’ largest manufacturers of building materials. The company’s products are in steady demand not only in the domestic market, but also in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic countries, Poland and Germany. Entire residential quarters, villages, administrative, cultural and entertainment complexes in Warsaw, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Kaliningrad, Kyiv, Lviv, Vilnius, Kaunas, Daugavpils, Riga and many other cities were built from building materials manufactured by the enterprise.
