MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – An agreement on Belarus’ participation in Expo 2017 was signed in Minsk on 5 September following a meeting between Expo 2017 Commissioner Rapil Zhoshybaev and Belarus’ First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Yevdochenko, Commissioner of the Belarusian section at Expo 2017, BelTA has learned.
The expo will be about future energy. In this connection, important discussions and decisions aimed at strengthening the energy security are planned during Expo 2017, Andrei Yevdochenko told reporters.
Astana is now actively gearing up for the event. “In October we invite Commissioners to come and see the pavilions, plan the layout and design the pavilions,” Rapil Zhoshybaev said.
The world's fair is a large-scale international event where every state introduces visitors to its economy, science, traditions, culture, tourism opportunities and achievements. First world's fair was held in 1851. Since then it has been regularly carried out in different countries
Astana is the host of Expo 2017 which will be running from 10 June to 10 September next year.
