MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Further development of trade and investment cooperation between Belarus and Turkey’s Eskisehir Province was discussed during a visit of Belarus’ Ambassador and Extraordinary to Turkey Viktor Rybak to Eskisehir, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Eskisehir is a big cultural and industrial center in the north-west of Turkey with some 900,000 population. The city is home to a number of Turkey’s important companies of mechanical engineering, aviation industry, producers of agricultural, food, construction, textile and woodworking sectors, about 20,000 economic entities, and Anadolu University, the biggest in Turkey in the number of students and the fourth largest in the world.
During the visit, Viktor Rybak met with the authorities of the province and the City Hall. “The parties discussed further development of trade and investment cooperation between Eskisehir and Belarus, including in the regional aspect,” the ministry said.
Belarus offered a presentation of its trade and economic potential at the Eskisehir chamber of industry and commerce. The ambassador presented trade proposals of Belarusian economic entities interested in the supply of products to Turkey and the development of cooperation with the Turkish business.
The head of the diplomatic mission also visited ALBAYRAK Makine which cooperates with the Minsk metro in equipping the facilities of the third metro line in the Belarusian capital.
