MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Mongolian economic forum took place as part of the Ulaanbaatar Partnership 2022 International Trade Fair in the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, BelTA learned from Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the forum, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Mongolia Dmitry Gorelik stressed that the potential for trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia was high. “The mutual trade keeps increasing every year. Belarus’ exports to Mongolia account for more than 99% of the total volume. Products of the food industry, mechanical engineering, and pharmaceuticals have the best prospects in the Mongolian market. We are focused on the further active development of trade, including through the participation of our companies in the exhibition in Ulaanbaatar,” said the ambassador.
President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Mongolia Otgondavaa Amartuvshin thanked Belarus for its interest in the Ulaanbaatar Partnership exhibition. “Companies from Belarus are participating in this event for the third time. The partnership relations between the chambers of commerce and industry of Mongolia and Belarus have lasted for more than 20 years already,” he said.
The forum included a matchmaking session (B2B-negotiations) with representatives of the Mongolian business and meetings of the exhibiting companies with the management of Mongolian companies.
The Belarusian national exposition featured 27 companies. The machine building industry was represented by enterprises of the Industry Ministry: Bobruiskagromash, Gomselmash, Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark), Kozlov Minsk Electrotechnical Plant and BelAZ. The scientific sector was represented by organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus: Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry, Scientific and Practical Center for Animal Husbandry, Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research. The pharmaceutical sector was represented by enterprises of Belpharmprom: Belmedpreparaty, Borisov plant of medical preparations and Minskinterkaps.
The enterprises of the Belarusian food industry Belgospishcheprom concern were also on display. The exposition showcased a wide range of meat and dairy products, confectionery products, alcoholic beverages and scientific and technical developments from enterprises and scientific organizations of the country.
The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the organizer of the exhibition; the exhibition operator was Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exposition was supported by the Belarusian Embassy in Mongolia.
