MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in expanding cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in regional industrial development, Belarus' Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar said as he met with a UNIDO expert mission, BelTA learned from the Economy Ministry.
The parties discussed the outcomes of the assessment of the possibility to use Industry 4.0 technologies in Mogilev Oblast and the region's readiness for digital transformation and implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies. The participants of the meeting also touched upon the development of the Technopark 4.0 digital platform and provision of the experimental demonstration center at Belarus-Russia University with equipment.
The participants of the meeting thrashed out plans to intensify interaction while introducing technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and discussed potential approaches to supporting socio-economic and innovative development of Belarusian regions on the part of UNIDO.
