MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to supply Tajikistan with high-performance agricultural machinery on favorable terms, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Tajikistan Oleg Ivanov said in a meeting with Minister of Agriculture of the country, Chairman of the Tajik part of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation Izzatullo Sattori, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting the Ambassador underlined Belarus’ readiness to supply the Tajikistan agricultural industry with high-performance agricultural machinery and equipment made in Belarus, including on the terms favorable for the Tajik side, with the use of international leasing and export credit mechanisms.
“The parties also discussed the preparation of international agreements in the field of education and regional cooperation, the signing of which is planned in the near future,” informed the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In turn, Izzatulo Sattori expressed interest in developing cooperation in the field of livestock farming, potato growing, and training of highly-qualified personnel both in agricultural universities in Belarus and also at the Bobruiskagromash assembly facility in the town of Hissar.
The meeting addressed a wide range of issues of cooperation of Belarus and Tajikistan in agriculture. Special attention was paid to the organization of the next meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Tajik commission on trade and economic cooperation, the press service noted.
