MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – Forestry equipment and machinery of the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor have been successfully presented in Slovakia, BelTA learnt from the Belarus Tractor Company (Hungary).
The exhibition was organized to promote the products of Belarusian companies, including tractors and logging machinery, to the Hungarian and Slovak markets. The presentation was held by the Belarus Tractor Company jointly with Slovakia’s CONMIL. Among the displayed machinery was harvester Amkodor 2551, forwarder Amkodor 2682-01 and tractor truck Amkodor 2243B.
Attending the event, apart from other guests, were about 50 people that use the same equipment of the western production and owners of logging firms. The presentation was held in the mountain and woodlands 20km away from the city Rimavska Sobota.
A big part of Slovakia’s highlands is covered with forests and is known to be an extremely hard place for logging machinery to work.
According to the organizers, many of those present were skeptical about the event. However, the performance of the Belarusian harvester and forwarder operated by experienced specialists Andrei Trayan and Andrei Dmitrakovich drew laud applause. The Belarusian specialists needed less than 60 minutes to process and load 15 cubic meters of beechwood.
