MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) - In January-February 2024 the surplus of Belarus’ foreign trade in goods and services amounted to $23.1 million. Meanwhile, Belarus’ foreign trade rose by 1.3% from January-February 2024 to exceed $14.9 billion, BelTA learned from the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In January-February 2024 Belarus had a deficit of the foreign trade in merchandise as large as $399.2 million. The export made up $6.2 billion, with import at $6.6 billion.
The deficit of Belarus’ foreign trade in merchandise was offset by a surplus of foreign trade in services as large as $422.3 million in January 2024. Belarus exported $1.3 billion and imported $0.85 billion worth of services in January-February 2024.
