MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Poland will resume meetings of its intergovernmental commission on cooperation in science and technology. The decision was made at the meeting between Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Alexander Shumilin and First Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland Aleksander Bobko, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee.
It is expected that the meeting will be held in early 2017. The previous meeting took place in November 2010.
The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in sci-tech and innovation sectors, cooperation prospects in the mutual transfer of technologies and intellectual property. Special attention will be placed on cooperation between Belarus and Poland within the EU program Horizon 2020.
Belarus and Poland has been developing their sci-tech cooperation in line with the corresponding agreement between the two governments reached on 18 November 1992.
