MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Pakistan intend to develop trade, economic and investment relations. The issues were discussed at a meeting of Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov with Pakistani representatives during his visit to the country, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The issues of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation were discussed during the meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan, the Board of Investment of Pakistan, the Economic Affairs Division of the Government of Pakistan,” the press service said. Valentin Rybakov took part in the roundtable held to discuss the prospects of relations between Belarus and Pakistan. The event was organized by the Foreign Service Academy of Pakistan and the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad.
Valentin Rybakov met with Special Assistant of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Tariq Fatemi. At the meeting with General Director of the National Library of Pakistan Valentin Rybakov discussed the implementation of the project to set up the Belarusian informational and cultural center.
During the visit the second round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Pakistan was held with focus on the issues of bilateral relations and cooperation within international organizations.
