MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ online market is one of the fastest growing in Europe, Director of the National Marketing Center Valery Sadokho said during the second Belarusian-Indonesian video conference on business and trade, BelTA learned from the press service of the center.
Valery Sadokho informed the conference participants about the opportunities for cooperation with Belarusian business partners and emphasized the growing role of internet resources in international trade. According to him, Belarus' presence in e-commerce is expanding every year. "Belarus’ online market is one of the fastest growing in Europe. This growth is expected to continue. The volume of the Belarusian e-commerce market is expected to grow up to $1.5 billion per year. Belarus’ state procurement system has been undergoing digital transformations, the goal of which is to simplify the participation of enterprises and the state sector," he said.
In this regard, the role of the Export.by e-commerce platform, which has been set up by the National Marketing Center to provide information support to Belarusian exporters in promoting exports, has been growing. “Export.by provides information about Belarusian goods, services and technologies all over the world 24/7. This makes search for business partners fast and easy. Here you can also get the information about the industrial and economic potential of Belarus, the data on key sectors of our economy, export structure, and recommendations on ways to attract foreign investment into the economy,” the press service noted.
Three Indonesian companies have already registered with the platform, the National Marketing Center said. According to its statistics, 87 companies from Belarus have expressed interest in accessing the Indonesian market, and 10 are already working on it.
About 30 Belarusian enterprises took part in the event. Among them were the Baranovichi Cotton Production Association, Borisov Plant of Medical Preparations, Bellakt dry baby food manufacturer, Modum cosmetics producer, Mozyr garment factory Nadex, and Rogachev Dairy Plant.
The video conference was organized jointly with the Indonesia Trade, Tourism and Investment Club (ITTIC) with the support of the Belarusian Embassy in Indonesia and the Indonesian Embassy in Russia and Belarus.
