MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – The ways to upgrade Belarus' credit rating in the classification of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) were discussed at the meeting between the Belarusian delegation and members of the German interministerial committee for export credit guarantees in Berlin, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian delegation led by First Deputy Finance Minister Maxim Yermolovich comprised First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Mikhnevich, Deputy Economy Minister Anton Kudasov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Dmitry Kalechits.
The Belarusian delegation also met with representatives of the AKA Ausfuhrkredit GmbH specializing in exports financing. The parties discussed the prospects of further cooperation between Belarus and the German bank as well as other issues of mutual interest.
According to the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a wide range of issues related to cooperation in international economic organizations and financial institutions was discussed at the meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Sergei Aleinik and Chief Secretary to the Treasury Greg Hands. The parties also discussed prospects of bilateral relations in the financial sector with a view to developing Belarusian-British economic cooperation.
