Belarus, Nigeria discuss projects in agricultural mechanization

MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Nigeria Vyacheslav Bril met with Secretary General of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority Prince Paul Ikonne, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Nigeria.

During the talks, the Belarusian side presented the export potential of Belarus’ agricultural industry. The parties discussed projects in the field of agricultural mechanization in Nigeria, as well as the preparation of land for agricultural use.

The National Agricultural Land Development Authority reports directly to the Nigerian president administration. Its major tasks are agricultural land development through creating farms, training of young farmers and promotion of farming as a business among young people.
