The Belarusian delegation took part in the second session of the Belarusian-Nicaraguan commission on trade and economic cooperation. The sides discussed concrete ways to broaden mutually beneficial cooperation in political, economic, scientific, technical, and educational sphere, topical matters concerning interaction in the international arena. Close attention was paid to establishing cooperation in the area of construction industry and energy industry as well as the work meant to bolster the legal base of the bilateral cooperation. The relevant arrangements were reflected by the protocol of the commission’s session.
An agreement on visa-free travels for holders of diplomatic and service passports was signed during the visit to Nicaragua, too.
The visit to Nicaragua was part of the Belarusian delegation’s visit to Latin America. The Belarusian delegation included top officials of the Agriculture and Food Ministry, representatives of MAZ, Belorusneft, Eximgarant of Belarus, and the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The Nicaraguan delegation included representatives of the presidential administration, the ministries of foreign affairs, development and trade, agriculture, finance, and several other government agencies.
