MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) - The Belarusian-Nicaraguan business forum took place in Managua to identify the most promising areas of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Among them are supplies of Belarusian electric transport, agricultural machinery, and medicines to the Central American country, BelTA learned from the Belarusian National Center for Marketing and Price Study.
The business forum was held as part of Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko’s visit to Nicaragua. It was organized by the National Center for Marketing and Price Study and the Investment Promotion and Export Office of Nicaragua (SPIEX).
The Nicaraguan business community was presented with the economic potential of Belarus, as well as promising areas of bilateral interaction, formulated by the National Center for Marketing and Price Study on the basis of the analysis of the complementarity of the economies of the two countries.
Special emphasis was placed on cooperation in providing Nicaragua with Belarusian machinery, including electric transport, supplies of agricultural machinery and technology transfer in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and the use of domestic developments in the construction of residential and industrial facilities in Nicaragua.
According to Director of the National Center for Marketing and Price Study Nikolai Borisevich, the center as a coordinator of the business agenda is ready to ensure the establishment of direct contacts in the line of core business and their support up to the conclusion of the deal.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Center for Marketing and Price Study and SPIEX on the sidelines of the forum.
