MOGILEV, 22 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Mogilev Oblast presented its export and investment potential in Astrakhan Oblast, Russia, BelTA learned from the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee.
During a two-day visit the delegation of Mogilev Oblast, which comprised Mogilev Oblast Vice Governor Ruslan Strakhar, Mogilev Mayor Aleksandr Studnev, representatives of business and enterprises of the region, the Free Economic Zone Mogilev and the tourism industry, got familiar with the enterprises and organizations of the Russian region, held talks and business meetings.
Special importance in the development of friendly relations between the regions is given to cooperation between the cities of Mogilev and Astrakhan. A plan of joint activities to strengthen this cooperation was signed during the visit.
The parties confirmed their interest in developing mutual supplies of goods, exchange of youth delegations and tourists during the meeting of the Mogilev delegation with the leadership of Astrakhan Oblast.
During the business forum held at My Business Center, the export and investment potential of Mogilev Oblast was presented to the Astrakhan organizations. Belarusian enterprises outlined their interests in cooperation and found new partners, discussed the supply of Astrakhan vegetables and fish products to Belarus and Belarusian dairy products to Astrakhan Oblast retail chains.
The delegation of Mogilev Oblast also had a business meeting with the management of the Astrakhan sea port to discuss the establishment of logistic chains for the delivery of products of the Mogilev Oblast manufacturers through the port of Astrakhan to Iran, India and other countries of the Asian region. Special attention was paid to possible deliveries of the Mogilev Oblast woodworking enterprises.
