Belarus might help Russia’s Roscosmos build Vostochny Cosmodrome

MOSCOW, 12 October (BelTA) – On 11 October Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko met with General Director of the Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities Dmitry Rogozin to discuss participation of Belarusian construction companies in the construction of facilities at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, BelTA informs citing a press release posted on the Roscosmos website.

“As part of the efforts to promote Russia-Belarus economic relations, as well as in connection with the shortage of construction resources in the Far East region, Roscosmos and Belarus discussed possible ways Belarusian construction companies could take part in the construction of facilities of the first and second phases of the Vostochny Cosmodrome,” the press release reads.

“Agreements were reached to study the economic feasibility of this matter, as well as the capabilities of the Belarusian side,” Roscosmos added.
