Belarus’ MAZ rolls off record high number of passenger vehicles in Q1

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) produced a record high number of passenger vehicles in the first quarter of 2023, Deputy Commercial Director for the Sale of Passenger Vehicles - Head of the Passenger Vehicles Sales Department at MAZ Vladimir Dormash said, BelTA learned from the MAZ press service.

“Minsk Automobile Plant has set a new record. In the first quarter of 2023, it produced the largest number of passenger vehicles if compared with the same periods of previous years. In numbers, this is 382 vehicles. The previous record was set in 2008. Back then MAZ rolled off 354 units. We see an increase in demand for our passenger transport. Last year MAZ manufactured 1,250 vehicles, the plan for 2023 is 1,800 buses, trolleybuses and electric buses, including vehicle sets,” Vladimir Dormash said.

The deputy commercial director added that the company’s products are not piling up in  warehouses; all products are made to order.
