MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarus make take part in infrastructure and industrial projects in Egypt. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Rachkov and Egyptian Minister of Local Development Ahmed Zaki Badr on 29 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the Belarusian and Egyptian approaches to regional development. “An agreement was reached that the Belarusian side will receive proposals regarding its possible participation in the implementation of a number of regional infrastructure, industrial, agricultural, educational and innovative projects,” the press service said.
Sergei Rachkov also met with Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Hossam Zaki. “The parties discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, including the results of the third meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission for trade, the bilateral contacts for the development of cooperation in science and education, and the organization of a number of visits and political consultations,” the press service added.
