MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) - Belarus can create a national translogistic service operator, Belarus’ Vice Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin told reporters, BelTA has learned.
The Vice Premier pointed out that the national translogistic service operator in Belarus is needed to eliminate disconnection between trade, customs, and other industries. Anatoly Kalinin expressed confidence that the creation of the single core of management, which will be integrated with global companies, will give an integrated effect: will enable to reduce costs, increase efficiency of movement of goods and the volume of transit traffic through the country.
Belarus has been consistently working on improving its road infrastructure through foreign investment and public-private partnership instruments. “We are working with the Eurasian Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the matter. There are two road parts: Kobrin-Gomel-Russian Federation and Volozhin-Kamenny Log,” the Vice Premier said. In his words, there are plans to meet with the EU Commissioner to discuss the ways of cofinancing these projects.
