MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky is taking part in the 13th Belarusian-Lithuanian economic forum, BelTA learned from the ministry’s Public Relations Department.
Vladimir Zinovsky is expected to stay in Kaunas, Lithuania on 30-31 May for the sake of taking part in the 13th Belarusian-Lithuanian economic forum. The forum is dedicated to Belarus-Lithuania cooperation in energy effectiveness, tourism, transport and logistics, investments and finance. Representatives of government agencies and the private sector of Belarus and Lithuania are taking part in the forum, too.
Vladimir Zinovsky delivered a salutatory address during the forum’s opening ceremony. A number of meetings have been planned. While in Lithuania Vladimir Zinovsky is expected to meet with Lithuanian Economy Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius, Transport and Communications Minister Rokas Masiulis, President of the Confederation of Industrialists of Lithuania Robertas Dargis to discuss topical aspects of bilateral cooperation.
The events are expected to contribute to further invigoration of Belarusian-Lithuanian relations, exchange of the best practices in the aforementioned areas, demonstration of the country’s investment potential, reinforcement of Belarus’ image as a reliable partner, and the expansion of and search for new business contacts between Belarus and Lithuania with a view to further attracting Lithuanian investments in the Belarusian economy, said the source.
