MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) - Belarus and Iran have agreed on data exchange of the customs statistics of mutual trade, BelTA learned from the State Customs Committee of Belarus.
“A meeting between Chairman of Belarus’ State Customs Committee Yuri Senko and head of the Iranian customs administration Dr. Masoud Karbasian, was held in Tehran. The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation in the data exchange of customs statistics of mutual trade establishing the order and forms of interaction in such exchange,” the committee informed.
During the meeting the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between the customs authorities of the two countries, including further joint steps to develop logistics services and to implement the provisions of the agreement between the Governments of Belarus and Iran on mutual administrative assistance and cooperation in customs affairs of 10 September 2004.
The parties agreed on the further development of the legal framework of the Belarusian-Iranian relations in customs matters.
