MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Belarus is interested in raising the trade turnover and advancing investment cooperation with the United Arab Emirates. Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Alexander Yaroshenko made the statement as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Belarus Ahmed Manqoosh Alteneiji, the press service of the Economy Ministry told BelTA.
The negotiations took place on 10 August. Taking into account the strategic friendly relations between the two countries, the Ambassador called upon Belarusian companies and organizations to take a more active part in the exhibition events held in the UAE. Ahmed Manqoosh Alteneiji assured that Belarusian companies will get all-round support in this matter.
The UAE side also expressed interest in advancing cultural and tourism cooperation. The expansion of air service between the countries and simpler visa regulations could contribute to it.
Alexander Yaroshenko invited the UAE Ambassador and UAE companies to take part in the forum Broadening the Horizons: Investment, Finance, Development that will take place in Minsk on 29-30 September.
