MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – Belarus has plans to increase its exports to the “far arc” countries, Belarus Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said in an interview to the Belarus One TV channel on 24 April, BelTA has learned.
“Developing states, so called “far arc” countries, are in the spotlight in what concerns exports. Their economies are also struggling with the current crisis. Nevertheless, we should seek ways, opportunities, instruments,” noted Andrei Kobyakov.
Last year Belarus’ exports to the new “far arc” markets increased by 12%. “This is not enough. We cannot be satisfied with the result. This did not compensate for the exports we lost due to the economic situation, first of all, in Russia and Ukraine. We will work on it,” the PM said.
Andrei Kobyakov also stressed that efforts would be focused on attracting foreign investments.
