MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Belarus’ trade and industrial potential was presented at the Global Development Initiative Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Symposium in the city of Xiamen, China’s Fujian Province, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in China.
The event was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to China Yuri Senko. He held meetings with China’s Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xu Xiaolan and Mayor of Xiamen Huang Wenhui. During the talks, the parties discussed bilateral cooperation in machine tool building, mining, woodworking, food trade, and maritime logistics. Ways of deepening interregional ties were also on the agenda.
During the symposium, the ambassador made a presentation of the Belarusian trade and industrial potential and also presented the cooperation opportunities of the largest domestic manufacturers in mechanical engineering.
The Global Development Initiative Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Symposium was held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China with the support of the People's Government of Fujian Province and Xiamen City. The event attracted more than 150 attendees: representatives of international organizations, including the Center for International Industrial Cooperation (UNIDO) and the SCO, ministries and departments of 16 states of Southeast and Central Asia, Europe and South America, and also government, academic and business circles of China.
