MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia led by Her Royal Highness Princess Pembayun visited the Hi-Tech Park of Belarus, BelTA learned from the Park’s official website.
The purpose of the visit was to study the experience of creating and developing the Hi-Tech Park in Belarus and learn how specialists are trained in the area of information technologies.
During the meeting with top officials of the Hi-Tech Park administration Her Royal Highness Princess Pembayun said that Indonesia intends to create and develop a Silicon Valley of its own. This is why representatives of Indonesia attentively studied the nuances of organizing the operation of the Hi-Tech Park in Belarus and discussed topical matters.
Personnel training in the area of information technologies was also mentioned during the negotiations. Her Royal Highness Princess Pembayun pays close attention to education in Indonesia. This is why Hi-Tech Park Director Valery Tsepkalo spoke in detail about cooperation with Belarusian universities and outlined how the resident companies train workforce.
At the end of the visit the Indonesian delegation went on a tour of the business incubator. Members of the delegation were made familiar with principles of operation and current results of the efforts of the Innovative Entrepreneurship Support Department of the Hi-Tech Park administration.
The Indonesian and Belarusian sides agreed to continue contacts and further advance Belarusian-Indonesian cooperation in the sphere of information technologies.
