Belarus in talks to ship potash fertilizers via Latvian ports

MINSK, 5 April (BelTA) – A delegation of representatives of Belaruskali, Belarusian Potash Company paid a visit to Ventspils and Riga on 3-4 to discuss bilateral cooperation in the transport and logistics sector, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Latvia.

“On 3 April, the Belarusian delegation held a working meeting with Kalija Parks, studied technical capabilities of the terminal for transshipment of potash fertilizers. On 4 April, the administration of the Freeport of Riga held a presentation of the port capabilities and existing infrastructure for the Belarusian delegation,” the embassy said.

The Belarusian delegation also got familiar with the infrastructure of the Alpha Osta terminal and its operation. The parties considered the ways for the possible use of the terminal and the terms of cooperation.

The Belarusian delegation held a working meeting with representatives the Latvian Railways to discuss cooperation in the transport and logistics sector.
