MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Budapest Mayor Istvan Tarlos in Minsk on 10 April to discuss the Belarusian-Hungarian relations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed the relations between Belarus and Hungary. Special attention was paid to the economic and investment cooperation, and to the ways to bolster the ties between Minsk and Budapest,” the press service said.
Istvan Tarlos is on a return visit to the Belarusian capital from 9 to 12 April. Plans have been made to hold a Belarusian-Hungarian business forum and a business match-making session on 11 April.
The Minsk Department of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that attending the events will be representatives of Hungary’s Zahony Enterprise Zone, the Budapest Festival and Tourism Center, banks, the Hungarian Seed Association, the Kern Winery, producers of hybrid corn seeds, and manufacturers of equipment for meat processing industry and brake systems for cars and trucks.
