MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Belarus has harvested 74,000 tonnes of potatoes, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
A total of 8.023 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested in the country. Farmers have harvested 150,000 tonnes of grain maize (7% of the target), 6.739 million tonnes of silage and green maize (20%), and 33,000 tonnes of buckwheat.
A total of 18,000 tonnes of millet, 74,000 tonnes of potatoes (14%), 32,000 tonnes of vegetables (39%), and 508,000 tonnes of sugar beet (11%) have been harvested.
“Belarusian farms continue harvesting grasses,” the Agriculture and Food Ministry said.
