MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – The China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone and Mariel Special Development Zone signed a memorandum of understanding, BelTA learned from the press service of the Great Stone.
The parties are set to develop cooperation in attracting investment, strengthen relations between the business communities of Belarus and Cuba, and provide mutual information support.
Mariel Special Development Zone is located 45 kilometers away from Havana and has 55 resident companies from 11 countries. Its priority areas are electronics, logistics, pharmaceuticals, energy industry, and the financial and banking sectors.
The China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone is a special economic zone with a special legal regime. It is located 25km away from Minsk. The industrial park is home to 68 resident companies from 14 countries. The park’s priority development areas include mechanical engineering, electronics and telecommunications, biotechnologies, pharmaceutics, new materials, logistics, digital commerce, big data storage and processing.
